Dave Edwardz, aka DEDWARDZ is an award-winning British-Australian filmmaker and VFX Artist currently working in London. He’s written and directed countless short films that have screened at some of the most prestigious festivals around the world, and has two decades of experience in VFX, helping to craft Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters. Most recently he was the Visualisation Supervisor on Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, and Mary Poppins Returns.

A directing graduate of the renowned Australian, Film, Television & Radio School (AFTRS), Dave is a highly trained and passionate filmmaker who likes to explore intimate and flawed character relationships backdropped against unique, richly textured storyworlds. His most recent short film was The Trophy Thief; a live-action coming-of-age story set inside the world of children’s soccer. The film was supported by Screen Australia’s Talent Escalator Fund, and went on to international acclaim.

Dave’s directing credits include: The Trophy Thief (2014), Compulsion (2012), Dead Boring (2009), and Burley! (2007). His VFX credits include Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, Mary Poppins Returns, Game of Thrones, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them, Doctor Strange, Fury Road and The Lego Movie.

Dave is currently working on his debut thriller feature entitled: Ten Deep Breaths.
